Meet Our Team

__

David Rosenblatt - Founder & Administrator

In 2008, David first used the term “Dogspired” at a Panera Bread restaurant, and one year later, Dogspired was born.

A graduate of Frostburg State University in 2006, David holds simultaneous degrees in Business and Philosophy. He uses his practical knowledge and creative instincts to develop and strengthen the Dogspired community.

David looks forward to a very bright future for the blog and is proud to be part of such a wonderful team.

Ricky Paredes – Founder & Administrator

Kelli Perez - Social Networking

Kelli has contributed to Dogspired since March 2009. She uses her proficient social networking skills to maintain and manage Dogspired pages on Twitter, Facebook, Digg, and so on.

Kelli is a freelance writer who writes about a variety of topics. She blogs, writes SEO articles and newsletters, and would like, some day, to be published in print.

Dogs are one of Kelli’s passions. She currently has three rescued Rottweilers and enjoys sharing stories about her wonderful dogs with the Dogspired audience and other web sites. Kelli also promotes and procures content aimed at the betterment of dogs everywhere.

Charlotte Grider - Editor & Writer

Dogspired writer and editor, Charlotte Grider is a freelancer and dog lover who lives in St. Joseph, Missouri, with her husband, Tim Morrison, and their three dogs (Dakota, Sabrina, and Kristine) and their cat (Milo).

Charlotte holds a B.A. degree in English from Truman State University and a Master’s degree in English from Southeast Missouri State University, and she has nearly completed the coursework for the Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of Writing at Missouri Western State University.

Charlotte loves to write in all genres about a range of topics. Her publications include literary scholarship, book reviews, poetry, news and feature stories, and web content. Her works-in-progress include two children’s books, a novel, and a screenplay.

While she is passionate about writing, Charlotte’s mission is to make life better for dogs everywhere by writing content for Dogspired and writing grants for and volunteering at M’Shoogy’s Animal Rescue in Savannah, MO.

Hawkeye Wilson - “Mac” Content Writer

Hawkeye Wilson has been a writer for Dogspired since he first caught the eyes of its editors with a blog full of fictional stories about Louie, his Italian Greyhound. He now contributes to Dogspired in the form of “Mac,” the site’s official mascot.

Hawkeye was named after the character played by Alan Alda on MASH. He is a native of Iowa and a fan of the University of Iowa. Hawkeye attended Northwest Missouri State University where he started the newspaper, “Big Brother,” and later sat on the school newspaper’s editorial board.

Using his experience as a nationally awarded college newspaper columnist, Hawkeye has led a professionally eclectic life, from working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to teaching at the prestigious Nankai University in Tianjin, China. He is now busy with an investment firm start-up in Phoenix, Arizona.

A first-time dog owner, Hawkeye draws his inspiration from the quirky and lovable qualities of canines. While his previous editorial efforts were dedicated to real-life events, Hawkeye is happy to be able to explore his creative abilities in the form of Mac content.

MacDogspired Mascot

Mac is the Dogspired mascot.  He is a funny mutt who speaks his mind as he roams around the site, giving his impressions about various entries on the blog. Like his hero, Oliver Twist, Mac has traversed the path from disenfranchisement to fulfillment.

Born a mixed breed, and having lived on the streets and in shelters, Mac has gained a dog’s wisdom. He sees his background as a way to inspire the dogs that read his comments.  After teaching himself how to type, he’s happy to be a contributing writer for Dogspired and to encourage dogs to reach their full potential. Regardless of background, Mac has been able to live a fulfilling life and hopes that his reflections will guide other dogs and the people who love them to do the same.
