Abuse, cancer, and the search for a forever home, Sugar, the Pit Bull mix is a survivor! This three-year old pup endured a back alley C-section that resulted in acid burns and internal infections. Sugar was near death when she was dropped off at a Los Angeles animal shelter. A worker there nursed Sugar back to life, but couldn’t keep the Pit Bull due to moving to Denver, Colorado (where Pit Bulls are banned). Luckily, there was someone willing to foster Sugar, where the pup lived with two dogs and a cat and thrived.

However, eight months later, Sugar was diagnosed with skin cancer. Molly’s Mutts & Meows stepped in and helped with the medical expenses for Sugar’s care. A couple of weeks ago, it was determined that the Pit was cancer FREE! Sugar has had a rough beginning and is truly a special canine who deserves to live the rest of her life surrounded by love and LOTS of treats!
