Despite the cruelty that humans inflict on animals, the animals persevere. After being thrown out of a fourth story window, Peggy, a one-year-old Pit Bull, survived and still remains loving towards humans. During a fight with his girlfriend, Ricky Coleman took out his anger on a the poor, defenseless dog that suffered a fractured left front leg and fractured right rear leg, internal injuries, and head injuries. Peggy’s head and front leg injuries are expected to heal, however her back leg was in need of a very expensive surgery that cost $3,000.

Luckily, the Syracuse community opened their hearts and their wallets. With their generous donations, Peggy was able to get her surgery, and a full recovery of her left leg is expected. Another $2,000 was donated for additional care that the Pit Bull will need.

After such a horrific experience, hopefully Peggy will be allowed to be adopted and find a loving home.
