Over twelve years, Keith Wandell, owner of B.U.D.D.I.E.S. Dog Rescue, has found homes for around 6,000 dogs. He saves the dogs that other rescues will not accept because they are big and considered “too dangerous.” Wandell cares for Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and other large dogs. These poor pups were neglected and abused and consequently developed behavior issues. Wandell makes the Rotties and Pits adoptable by training and socializing them.
Taking care of these large canines costs a pretty penny. They eat a lot of food, and in October of this year, Wandell was faced with either paying his mortgage or feeding his rescues. Luckily, a donation from Freekibble arrived just in the nick of time. The B.U.D.D.I.E.S. residents enjoyed Halo Spot’s Stew because Freekibble and Halo generously donated 1,300 pounds of food.
