This is an amazing story about Nubs the dog who followed the Marine, Major Brian Dennis, for 70 miles to be with his pal. Nubs’ life in Iraq was a harsh one, where he was a stray who had his ears clipped and stabbed with a screw driver by an Iraqi military person. Major Dennis befriended Nubs after this pooch and other strays greeted the Marines. Nubs and Major Dennis formed a long-lasting bond during Dennis’ time in Iraq.

Major Dennis decided to send Nubs to the United States after Nubs 70-mile trek across Iraq to reunite with him. After many emails for help to get Nubs to the United States, Major Dennis was able to give Nubs a home and now they live happily together. Major Dennis wrote a children’s book about Nubs called Nubs: The True Story of a Mutt, a Marine & a Miracle.
