Happy Mother’s Day to all the four legged moms out there, who took care of species not their own.

In this YouTube video, we mainly hear about the black Lab, Lily, at the Burlington, Iowa Humane Society, who has recently taken to caring for motherless kittens. Lily arrived at the pound pregnant and all her pups were adopted. When the kittens arrived the staff thought maybe Lily would care for them and she did!

Hooray for Lily, who is an amazing mother and I hope she finds a loving family that will care for her forever. The kittens need a home, too, so hopefully there are people out there that want a baby kitty!

What a happy story!! I find it amazing that animals will care for or befriend species not their own.

Animals Cops Philadelphia: Puppy Mills Exposed focuses on disgraceful "breeders" in rural Pennsylvania, many of which are completely legal despite the appalling conditions.
